LUNG CANCER SESSION
Over the last ten years, we have been agents and witnesses of great efforts in the treatment of lung cancer, including promotion of public policies to inhibit smoking, evolution in the classification of pulmonary tumors, and research and development of more and better clinical treatments. We have also witnessed the development of methods that improve our capacity to stage lung cancer, allowing us to offer the best possible treatment to patients. The pace of discoveries has been intense, causing frequent changes in clinical pathways.
In this Leaping Forward we will bring to Lisbon key opinion leaders in the area of lung cancer, to present and discuss recent developments in this field. Topics such as new treatments against molecular targets, new and promising staging methods (with an interesting round table on PET/MRI and MR of lung cancer), minimally invasive surgery, improvements in the treatment of non-small-cell metastatic lung cancer, and other themes under active clinical research will be addressed.
