NEUROENDOCRINE TUMORS SESSION
The designation Neuroendocrine Tumors refers to a heterogeneous group of tumors that can arise throughout the body. Although still rare, the incidence of these tumors is rising. Major advances in genetics, pathology, diagnostic techniques and new therapies (locoregional and systemic) are contributing to improve the survival of affected patients.
The Neuroendocrine Tumor Session was designed to discuss diagnostic and therapeutic standards, to improve communication among clinicians committed to the field, and to ensure access to novel therapies by the Portuguese medical community and by our patients.
